    Text - If I recall correctly, the parking tickets were $20. One year a fraternity moved down the other end of the street. They would often have parties and their alumni and friends would park in the driveway for another house to avoid a ticket. When confronted, they'd pretend like they didn't realize my driveway 100 yards away wasn't part of the frat house. Even though there were several houses in between mine and theirs.

    So sometimes we would get home and a bunch of frat-bros would be parked in our driveway leaving us to park in the street and get the ticket. Eventually us and our neighbors all got really annoyed. Over winter break, the non student over the frat. A houses all decided to neighbor got the idea from a local cop.

    Text - The first full weekend back for the school was ver MLK weekend. The frat threw a huge party that Saturday night, and of course their alumni and friends parked in everyone's driveway. We called the police to report illegally parked cars private property. The local police came and promptly ticketed all of the cars parked in ours and other driveways. Then, they towed all of the ticketed cars. There were about 10+ cars ticketed and towed. I believe the illegal parking tickets were $75 towing

    Somehow, no one at the frat noticed any cars being towed. Around midnight when the first person went to look for their car, the hit the fan. All of the sudden the street is filled with drunken frat bros screaming about their stolen cars. The police promptly showed up and informed them that the cars had been ticketed and towed. They were informed they could claim the cars when the city opened again for business.... on Tuesday morning. The police firmly warned them to calm down and miraculously th

    Text - So not only did they lose their cars for 2+ days, but had to pay ticket and lots fees for multiple days. The frat didn't have any more large parties that year. We never had any additional parking issues, and I moved within a few months. But I do get a big smile thinking about how much money it must have cost them.
